Progress

So today Jackson entered the final step in the NAM process. The nasal stints were adjusted and seem to be much more comfortable as Jackson has been much happier today than he has been the entire past week. Now it's just a matter of maintaining until his surgery May 1st. We are already seeing incredible progress. Here's his current look:

Can you see him? He's hiding behind the tape.

Back when Jackson was in the NICU we guestimated what we would've owed without insurance. We were way off:

Thank you Healthy Families!

Thank God for Healthy Families. I agree. Although, they haven't offered to pitch in and cover my mental institution bills after having London! We are so glad you guys are almost there. We can't wait to celebrate with you after his surgery. Keep on truckin'

I like to do what I have heard called blog stalking, and came across your blog. I just have to tell you how much I identify with your entire story. It is almost identical besides your most recent hurdles with NAM. I had twins that were in the hospital for over a month. Touch and go at the beginning for a while. My little Lilly was only 2 pounds. Totally know exactly what you are saying about bills and health care. My daughter was admitted back into the hospital at 4 months for RSV and pnemonia (sp). Then my son at 6 months had to go in for skull surgery so his brain could grow correctly and develop correctly. Had to have blood transfusion and didn't know if he would pull through for a couple days. Looking back on their first year felt like we were in the hospital more than anywhere else. But so much love and prayers were sent our way and we grew stronger than ever in faith and marriage. Now the twins are 18 months and doing so well. SO I promise there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The only reason why I even make a comment to a stranger is that I haven't come across very many people who have gone through these trials. Good luck with everything and try to laugh as much as possible (even when you don't feel like it)
Warmly from a stranger, Lindsey
